Michael Stone is a Los Angeles based Stan-Grof-Certified Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator who was originally educated in the sciences and business. He originally started his career as an employee in a large international pharmaceutical company and spent many years moving “up the ladder” which took him first to the East Coast and then to Corporate Headquarters in Paris, France. Despite his outward success in this hierarchical corporate structure, he felt that his creativity was being stifled and that his internal state was not being fulfilled. So he decided to follow his intuitive notion and take a step into the unknown. He quit his job and moved back to Los Angeles to follow the dual path of creating his own business and also doing intense inner exploratory work. He has since created, developed and sold several businesses in a variety of different fields. His overall success as an entrepreneur over the past 15 years has allowed him to devote much of his time to also follow his own spiritual path and explore his own consciousness working with a variety of teachers. He has studied numerous spiritual practices which he has incorporated into his daily life. His studies into non-ordinary states of consciousness led him to Dr. Stan Grof and Holotropic Breathwork. Although his original intention was to just use Holotropic Breathwork as a tool in his own healing work, this modality had such a profound impact on his life that he decided to complete the rigorous two year facilitator training program in order to be able to facilitate Holotropic Breathwork workshops himself so that he could bring this experience to others. Currently, in addition to organizing and facilitating Stan Grof Holotropic Breathwork workshops in Southern Calfornia, he is a Certified Massage Therapist and an Entrepreneur and Business Consultant.
